 I despise Haiku
They are difficult to write
My hatred will grow 
-By Me

 The winter will grow
Because the groundhog said so 
Cold months will not end 
-By Me

 The flowers blossom 
When spring peeks through the clouds
The sun will shine bright 
-By Me

These are the 3 haiku I attempted to write during the poetry unit. My favorite one happened to be the one talking about my hatred of haiku, "Haiku". This was because I felt that I still had the structure of 5-7-5 which I enjoyed, but I was able to express myself in the way that I wanted to. I think that my best one that followed the traditional methods was the "Spring" one (above). It is the one that I am proudest of because  with this haiku I was really able to capture the idea of a haiku, and I really understood what I was supposed to do. Enjoy!
