A Poem by a Published Author...Who I Know!

This is a poem by a published author, Antonio Hopson, who I happen to know as my biology teacher.

 That Burning Bush I Saw

That Burning Bush I Saw
In an orange-spangled fire
Burning there,
between two highways
two seasons
joining our dimension to the next:

A sovereign, lonely thing.
Touched by its own failing flesh
Crying a river too

Had I seen it
Or it me?

And, if you are there
Or were . .
Why haven't you come to visit me again
-Antonio Hopson

Thanks for reading my literati/blog! I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks to Emily Dickinson, Carl Sandburg, Sofia, Courtenay, and Ifrah for the great poems! Thanks to my English teacher (no last names!) for teaching me how to write poems! I hope you enjoyed!

I got to meet a famous poet! (Although he teaches me about biology 4 times a week). Poet is on the far left, I'm in the center, and Isabella is on the far right. Enjoy!

Hope

Hope
I wish to
cry myself to sleep
and
Awaken
on a sea that I have wept.
